Bangkirai:
We use bangkirai tropical hardwood for our main beams and flooring.
Bangkirai (sometimes called Balau) is one of the hardest tropical hardwoods
available and is insect and rot resistant. Bangkirai can be left outside for
over 25 years with no deterioration. Regular varnishing with bangkirai oil will keep it looking new and fresh. All our bangkirai comes from
authorized renewable plantations in Indonesia and we can provide
certificates of origin if requested.
Coconut wood:
Coconut wood is exceptionally strong and long-lasting and has a beautiful
and distinctive grain. All our coconut wood comes from renewable and
sustainable plantations.
Alang-alang thatch:
Alang-alang is a natural grass from the Indonesian islands. Traditionally
used as the main style of roofing in the islands alang-alang is a very
attractive and long-lasting material. Alang-alang roofs can last up to
25 years depending on the climate All our alang-alang roofs are treated
with fire retardant to comply with prevailing US Standards |
